I usually design ECPs with Lattice Diamond.
Now I have a very small project with a CPLD from the ispMACH 4000V series and wonder how I can synthesise the code for it.
On the Lattice website ispLever Classic is mentioned, for which you have to buy a licence for 600$.
However, I also found the ispMACH 4000 listed for Lattice Diamond.
But I cannot select it in the device list of Lattice Diamond - it doesn't show up.

The Diamond licence is quite expensive. Of course, it would be unpleasant to have to buy another pricy licence for a mini-project.

Do any of you have experience with ispMACH 4000V? How did you synthesise?

why dont you contact Lattice?

Or, do what I just did:
1) go to the lattice website
2) look up Diamond software
3) observe that ispMACH4000 requires a license.

Hi barry,

that's what I did :)
I was only confused because the device is also in the list of devices supported by Lattice Diamonds.

We have now decided to use another device.

THanks!
