Hi! I'm involved in a project which requires an analog-to-digital conversion in 16 bit for better accuracy. However, i only have ADC0808 which is an 8-bit converter.

So, my question is :
Is it possible to obtain 16-bit ADC conversion operation using two 8-bit ADCs ?

Plz, help!

how is it possible>
i dnt think so

i think the resolution of the adc is only 8 bit just go for a different IC which has got 16 bit resolution i dont think it is possible with 0808

try this.... you give the same reference voltage to both the ADCs.... now give input to the first and you can get the MSB and now DAC the output and subtract it from the input and you get the quantisation noise.... now amplify this quantisation noise using a amplifier of gain 2^8 and feed this as the input to the next ADC and get the LSB.....
