Hello,
I am trying to drive the STP16NF06 MOSFET with IR2110 driver. although the output across the driver seems to be fine at frequencies above 500 KHz the MOSFET stops responding at 30 KHz. at this frequency it becomes more of a sine wave than a square wave. I dont know if the issue is with the MOSFET or the driver.

PS: I am taking output across a resistor connected between the source and ground. resistor value = 1K ohms

Regards,
Vishnu

Hi,

There are many threads on Ir2110. Please read through them.
Here you may find good information what can be the problem.

Additionally you will find out, that it's almost impossible to give you good assistance without a valid schematic and a picture of your pcb layout.

500kHz often is too high for a FET. But it depends on circuit.
Show us your schematic and mark the point where you do the measurement.
