Interested in CPLD and FPGA

Hi all,

I'm interested in working with CPLD, but have trouble tracking down what software and hardware tools I need to start with ?

I'd like to start from beginning, to design simple logic circuit, programm it into CPLD, and then test it in real hardware.

What can you recommend ?

I recommend you the following:
Hardware: Xilinx Spartan3E starter Kit, it contains both CPLD and FPGA with many other peripherals.

Software: Xilinx ISE (free from www.xilinx.com) + ModelSim XE (also free from www.xilinx.com)
