mplab eclipse

Hi,

I know it is possible to integrate another compiler than MPLAB's one (C18) into the IDE.
I heard about CCS (which I don't know if it's better) etc..

But is it possible to integrate the MPLAB C18 compiler (or another one) into another IDE than MPLAB like Eclipse ??

I would to enjoy about a most user-friendly IDE (functions such syntaxing coloring, autocompletion etc..)

So if is it possible, which tools can be used ?

Thanks !
