[SOLVED] i'm so confusing about shape of the chip so please tell me.

can anyone please tell me what is best shape for design,square or rectangular and why?? please tell me

square, you have more space in the core area if you have pad on four sides.
 

depends what you are designing and what it needs to fit inside or on?

For instance if you designing the lowest possible Rds(on) Power MOSFET chip to fit inside a DPAK package, then you may want it to be the maximum size of the pad that it will attached to. That could be square or rectangle.

Now it looks like you're doing an IC, so don't forget the pads for bonding out to the pins. It maybe better to elongate the chip to get the wires on/off it or for power/heat distribution across the chip.
