hello, anyone . recently ,i am designing a igbt short circuit protection. but i meet with a problem. the driver i use is vla500-01 which is from isahaya (japan), and the module i use is cm1400du-24nf which is from mitsubishi. and my simplified test setup see attachment.
first, i charge the capacitors to 100v, and then open the switch, that is to say , the dc bus voltage is 50v;
second, i give a single pulse signal to the driver board which is used to drive the bottom IGBT;
but it seems that the driver board doesnt protect the igbt.
and the bus current can achieve to 800A. and my bottom igbt is broken. i wonder why? someone can help me.
