I have a calculator which turns itself OFF when it is idle for 6 minutes. But how it automatically gets OFF? I tried to assumed about a timer which makes a switch in power supply to circuit path OFF. Still the timer is ON. So any way there will be some amount of power consumed right? Please help me :???:

The power to whatever the timer system is, is usually also switched off at the same time. So ideally no more power will be consumed.
