how to read from a text file in Hsim/verilog-A?

Is there a way to read from a text file in Hsim/verilog-A?

I've created a simple verilog-A ROM model which worked OK in spectre but when I tried it in Hsim (>hsim -spectre input.scs )I found it didn't understand $fscanf()
