broadbanding of the antenna

dear all
how from the current distribution we can analyse that
slot has to cut in gnd of coplanar or the feed such that broadbanding is possible with small height of antenna such as 22mm i can achieve wideband 3-10.6 uwb

about reducing the lower freq of planar uwb antenna

hi all
can u give me some suggestion how can i reduce the lower freq of a 20=length and 18 width of a patch antenna to get uwb lower freq of 3.1 GHz
this forum is very helful

hi all
i want to get uwb 3.1-10.6 from small sized antennas 25X25
i know it is required to modify the current distribution to make antenna radiate
how can i drop th elower freq to get 3.1GHz for this antenna
kindly tell
regards
kartik

basically, you take a non-resonant structure, make it small, and shove a bunch of RF current into it. It will be very inefficient, since the radiation resistance will be bad, BUT it will be UWB.
