How to get the gate count excluding the memory in synthesis

The synopsys synthesis report gives combination area and noncombination area number, but how do we get the real gate count excluing the memory ? Thanks in advance!

I think that what you want to know is combination area number.

Hello,

use
1. "report_area -hierarchy"

2. You can also use "report_reference"

Just check the memories area in the design given by "report_reference" command and exclude it from the total area of the design.
