It might work because RH8 should be backward compatible with RH7.2. But EDA companies are very conservative. They didn't compile the code with RH8.0 and didn't test with RH8.0. Why take the risk ?

What did you have test on Redhat Advanced server 1.3 or 2.1 for EDA Tools?
