I am also interested in this subject. Is there any PIR which can work with 5V and can be used with PIC? I surf the net and found only big modules which works with 230V.

Out of curiosity, I've just googled "PIR sensor" and found this one by Parallax: **broken link removed**
It's inetrfaced to the Basic Stamp. And if it can be interfaced to Basic Stamp, it can be interfaced to PIC too.
