hi to all,
sorry if i'm in the wrong topic cuz i'm new to this..
i just want to ask..
can i design a buck-boost chopper that will convert the input voltage of 240vac to 230vac?
Basically yes. Consider two H-bridge inverters (one for input and one for output) and a DC bus. That's the design for a bi-directional
converter with sine input and output, simplified implementations are possible.
Apart from a lot of power semiconductors and a complex control circuit, you need inductors at input and output and a DC bus capacitor.
But it works, and in some cases can be meaningful to avoid a bulky low-frequency transformer. It's more interesting for 50/60 Hz
frequency conversion.
Also a single phase VFD inverter does basically the same. Present products have mostly simple rectifier input circuits with non-sine input
current and aren't capable of energy recuperation.
FvM thank you for your previous reply i really appreciate it.
i try design the circuit that u mention using the H-brigde.
but i cant get the output waveform that it sine wave like the input.
why is that happen?
sorry i'm still a student so i'm not good in design a circuit.
