I'm told that cadence is not recommended for high frequency simulations. I used cadence to determine the CV curves for a MOS cap and compared to measured data (from s-parameters) and there is a big discrepancy. Does anyone know if cadence's models are not accurate at high frequency and why?
Thanks.
Actually you can't blame C@dence for that: they aren't providing the models, they just provide the analysis software like SPICE, HSPICE, SPECTRE, MULTISIM ...
Models are provided with the PDKs from the semiconductor foundries/fabs, or from educational facilities like MOSIS, NCSU, PTM ...
Thats them who are responsible for their models' accuracy.
