Hierarchical Block

Hi friends,

I m using Capture CIS 9.2.3.. I don't know how to use Hierarchical block in my design.. Can anyone tell me how to connect two schematic folders using Hierarchical block?

Thanks in advance

Hello,
-Make the schematic you want to use in the block.
-Annotate this schematic, use the 'PCB editor reuse'-tab. Check the 'generate reuse module' box.
-Create a netlist.
-Import the netlist in a PCB editor and rout it. Export it again.
-Backannotate the schematic in Capture.
-Make a new project.
-Add a hierarchical block.
Reference is the name of the block.
Chose the implementation type: Schematic view.
Chose the implementation name: This is the name of the schematic, not the pagename.
Chose the filepath: Chose the design you want to use in the block.
-Annotate the schematic. Use the 'PCB editor reuse'-tab.
On this tab select the module you want to use.
-Create a netlist.
-Import the netlist in a PCB editor and rout it. Export it again.
-Backannotate the schematic in Capture.

Regards,
Bart.
