hello friends,
lets talk about which is better either "nmos" or "pmos" or "CMOS",.. why and how .. in all the aspects power speed n advantages... this will be very useful to all...

CMOS is better because it includes NMOS and PMOS.

we can not say which is beter or which is worse.
In different situation, the answer is different.

NMOS, the speed is better than PMOS,but PMOS can connect its bulk to its source which can avoid body effect.
CMOS has very small static current in digital logic circuit.

ITs after all depends on the application u are looking forward to. Because each has its benefit n drawbacks so we have to utilize them were we get more benefits as compare to the drawbacks.

In RF applications, say LNA design, NMOS is better due to higher gm and lower flicker noise. PMOS also consumes more overdrive. Its a tossup between BJT and NMOS. Some claim BJT is better as its minimum noise figure is lower than NMOS, but NMOS offers more degree of design freedom.

In modern integrated circuits cmos is usually used because a mosfet is much smaller than a resistor. Also, with either nmos or pmos there is always leakage current, which is avoided with cmos because only one transistor is conducting. If you're talking about discrete components, nmos transistors are usually a lot cheaper than pmos because of the manufacturing process.

As has been stated though, the choice largely depends on your application, cmos is not always best.

it's not a matter of better or worse each has its application
