Hi I am looking to amplify the RF signal out of an sa612an used as an HF signal generator (operating at all HF bands) using a small signal RF amplifier. The signal out of this amplifier, will drive another sa612an which will be used as an SSB modulator.

However I would like this amplifier to have some kind of AGC, so that the RF signal that is fed to the second sa612an has a constant level, so as not to overload it and it's SSB modulated output is at constant levels.

Can you propose me such an amplifier for the use?

how about the mc1350 or the tl026c?
But I want the AGC to be set by the chip. Maybe an HF logarithmic amplifier like the ad8307 is just what I am looking for?
