When I install Sy*nop*sy*s S*C*L 1.2 for linux in Redhat 8,the install program prompt "Platform independent package for scl can not be found and will not be installed!".Who can help me to solve this problem!

Dear orthogonal,
Once I tried to install synopsys package under RH 8.0. the result was some error messages like the one you mentioned in your message.
Now, If you are sure that you have the SCL package completely, and you have done all of the operations correctly, then I suggest switching to older RH 7.2.

Dear orthogonal,
You can modify install.now line 51 and 52

Best regards,
AndrewC
