Help me to start developing board for MSP 430 16-bit micro controller

Hi all,
I am trying to develop a development board for MSP 430 16-bit micro controller.
Can any help me in doing it. i want to develop both hardware and compiler for it.
i am new to the world of 16-bit controller, but i have experience in 8 bit PIC and 8051 controller.
Please suggest me how to start developing a board.....

Check T.I website they have a compiler (free) and for programmer I think I did see one JTAG based programmer for the MSPs.
Google around and hopefully you ll come across Olimex:
