help about erasing AT28C256-PI EEPROM

at28c256 programmer

how can i erase EEPROM AT28C256-PI . i have a genius programmer but it does not erase it , i can only program it by GENIUS programmer . so how can i erase this EEPROM
 

how to erase an eeprom

If you can only program this eeprom then program all locations (from 0 to 32767, or from 0000h to 7FFFh) with FFh, and this will be equivalent to erasing it ..
As an alternative:
The entire device can be erased at one time by using a 6-byte software code.
