i am trying to make H-bridge to drive a small DC motors about (15 ohms , and 40 ohm) , using 2n2222a and 2n2907
but i am facing problems on the simulation , on proteus ,
it seems that 2n2907 doesn't go to saturation -it drops about 3.7v- ,
i tried the bridge using tip122 and tip127 and it worked fine on proteus , but i don't have them now , and i am not sure if i can find them here.
Current supplied by 2N2222 or 2N2907 cannot handle driving an average hobby motor due to lesser current capability. Better choice will be the TIP's or 2N3055-2N2955 pair (may be TO220 packages). Even the L293D will be a good choice.
Cheers
thanks guys for your advices!!!!!!
Ianp:
it seems , that i will do that at the end , but i don't want to do any damage to the transistors.
fuuton: L298 is available here , but i felt that it's more than enough for a toy motor (it can support up to 3A i think) , i thought using 2n2222a will be more cheaper.
pranam77:
2n2222a and 2n2907 can handle up to 600mA , i thought that will be more than enough for a toy motor (it takes about 400mA when using 5V) ,
the problem that 2n2907 doesn't go to saturation and i don't know why!!!

srizbf: same problem.
2N2222 pair may handle 600ma but maynot be without heatsinks and its difficult to fit a heatsink for that package. That may be the reason your 2907 is saturated. Or measure the base bias volatges.
