how to design gsm modem

Hello,

I would love to work on designing a GSM modem using a Wavecom module.

**broken link removed**

In this regard am looking for few sample schematics for reference. Unfortunately I couldn't find anything much from the Module manufacturer or even by googling. I am wondering from where to start with like? Please advice me in this regard :)

Thanks,

Re: GSM modem design

Hi!

Wavecom products are realy cool.
The WMP150 is the only one with automotive specs i've seen.
I've used all kind of modems, like SimCOM, Siemens, Motorola, Sagem, etc...
So it will deppend on what is the purpose of your project.

I was thinking in setting an open project, like the openmoko, using the OMAP3530 as the main CPU. Wavecom is interested in migrating to a multicore and invest in multimedia applications.
