Hi all,

do anybody know a good tool to simulate CISCO LAN, WAN networks?

Thanks

Re: Network Design Tool

hi,

NS2 is the best to simulate LAN/WAN networks, also it is free to download. QUALNET and OPNET are equally good and userfriendly, but need license to run.

Re: Network Design Tool

Although NS2 is the best but Cisco Simulator "Packet Tracer" is also used by Cisco.
Problem with "Packet Tracer" is that it is only can be downloaded by the user who has training from any of the Cisco's regional academy. The academy gives them access to different cisco's softwares and manuals.
If you can get Packet Tracer that would be very helpful to you.
It also includes the training manual for packet tracer.
