Function of flags in frames

Dont you think a single flag to mark the start of frame is sufficient instead of having an end flag also?single flag can mark the beginning of next frame and end of first frame.Right?!

frames are not usually sent back-to-back specially in case an ACK is required

If u send the packet with one flag at the begining , how receiver will now end of the data since reciever continues recieve the one which is due to noise, isnt it?. to mark end of the frame we use flag at two ends
