hi all,

we are having this big project which involves the fpga board...
i'm just wondering... Is it feasible to use FPGA board for remote wireless control??
If so, briefly/roughly, how is it done?? Maybe in terms of the concept?
Which type of fpga board?? Cyclone? Stratix?
Alternative board, maybe CPLD? why not? why cannot?

Is there any site that can help me on this as well, for more info?

Please advise..

Thanks in advance...

It depends on what is

remote wireless control
for you.
It may be a 433MHz link or a 27MHz or yet something else.

IMHO If your project leaves enough room in your FPGA then it would be a good idea to use some uC IP ( PicoBlaze or something like that ) to implement your remote control function in the same chip.

try to see in xilinx whit papers, on www.xilinx.com, I never use altera device but with xilinx virtex you can do many wireless device cause the have enough hardware ressource and many docs.
