what is meant by fingered transistor?
where are these transistors used ?

fingered transistor is one wide transistor seperated into several smaller transistors with some shared regions (drain and source). or the merged transistor of several same W/L transistors
fingered transistor is better for lower gate resistance and smaller capacitance (due to share regions).
you could see these transistors everywhere, especially ESD devices. i have attached a mutli-fingered ESD device for your information.

making a very big transistor (big W/L) into sum of small W/L transistors.
