filtering noise component from the signal

Figure is the o/p of the processed signal in Freq domain.. I would like to remove the freq component @ 0.07 in the x-axis...pls tell me, in general to remove the procedure to remove the first freq component.....

Use a high-pass filter. However, the plot says the axis is distance rather than frequency.
 

hi,
The signal shown in the fig is the output fft of the some processed signal..
But after processing i should get only single freq ... but i m getting traces of other signal.. i would like to filter out the signal by applying some threshold to the signal... so that signal with amplitude lesser than the threshold should not appear .. but i dont no how to proceed ...?
i want to know weather my approach is correct...
