Hi
Please talk about the long-term outlook for field programable analog device.Such as Anadigm's FPAA.

I know that Lattice have 5 type this devices.
PAC10 for signal conditioning.
PAC20 for control loop
PAC30 for Anlog front-end
PAC80 for LP filiter
POWER-PAC for supply montior
But these devices are all expensive.

I am also interesting with such topic.

Knew about this a few weeks ago when a friend mentioned it to me. Sounds like pretty promising & powerful FPAA.

Is it really expensive?
How do you check & verify that your circuit is right? use oscilloscope?

hi guys,

Anadigm FPAAs  are low cost devices and you can design any analog function like amplifier, filer,PID controller .etc within few minutes

questions please

:D

Hello,

Which is the advantage of doing for example the control loop with this analog devices instead of with a digital fpgas??

Best regards,

mimoto

Who can introduce some books about the FPAA?

It seems that for the time being, they are quite application specific.

Anagidm has introduced an audio series. So this means that operating freq. extends down to 20Hz.

This is good news.

bimbla.

You can find some study paper in University of Toronto.

Anadigm FPAA's
>>Typical Bandwidth:DC- 2MHz (Bandwidth is CAM dependent)
>>Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR):
 Broadband 80dB
 Narrowband (audio band) 100dB

I think that analog are almost all specific,

so, long-term outlook for field programable analog device is not

optimistic.

best regards
