Hi, i am using the above said TTGO esp32 board with display,

If i connect the board via USB type C cable the display is ON, but if i give regulated 5 volt power supply the display is in off state. I have to press the push button which is next to 5V pin. I need it to be ON when i switch on the device.

Not knowing anything about the remainder of your design, the most likely scenario is the regulated 5V you are providing cannot supply enough current or has an excessively long rise time. Do bear in mind that these module can take quite high peak currents, in the region of 250mA when establishing a WiFi connection.

Brian.
