Hi All,
I am building the layout of DAC and got some errors while extracting like
short circuit.
In the floorplan attached the THERMOMETER DECODER has output from
T00 - T062 while the input of SWATCH ARRAY is INN00 - INN062 and inside the SWATCH ARRAY each SWATCH cell has INN.
The error it gave was:
Short circuit - Different names on one net:
(1) name "INN" at location -----
(2) name "INN62" at location ----
(3) name "TB062" at location ----
the name "INN" was assigned to the net.
Here, INN which is a port in individual SWATCH cell should be connected to the port INN62 (SWATCH ARRAY port) and INN62 is in turn connected to TB062(THERMOMETER DECODER output). I did not get how this connection can
create short circuit because its a direct connection and no other metal layer crosses it . Should these names be same or different named ports connected together will make any difference.
Can anyone help me to sort this out.
Thanks
Pradeep
