ocnprint

hi,
i dumped an ideal sin wave from cadence using ocnprint in CIW like below:
ocnprint(?output "a.dat" sample(VT("/a"),50u,500u,"linear",40n))

and i put the data from a.dat in matlab and compared with another ideal sinwave with the same period and initial phase,i found that the period of the dumped sinwave is increasing with time going on.

as shown in the pic, the red is the ideal sin generated in matlab and its spectrum is shown in red in 2nd panel, while the blue one is the dumped and its spectrum looks like a shit.

pls tell me what i can do to remove the error of the dumping .

thanks

cadence ocnprint

Hello,
your post has been quite a while, but I am now trying to output the data from cadence to matlab.

what is your data notation in your a.dat? The default is like suffix notation (eg m, u, n, p, etc), so matlab might misinterpret your data file.

ocnprint cadence

i have the same question.
the data are represented by scientific notation.
