For 49 mhz operation try the Atmel U3600BM. This is widely available and actually will cover 30-70 Mhz. If you have access to a Himark distributor you could try the Himark TR5100 if it is still available. This will cover from 30-150 MHz or so. In both cases you just need a few periferal components for a complete FM xceiver. Hope this helps.
