Difference - Bypass and Decoupling Capacitor

what is the difference between a bypass capacitor and a decoupling capacitor..?
 

Decoupling:
The art and practice of breaking coupling between portions of systems and circuits to ensure proper operation.
Bypassing:
The practice of adding a low-impedance path to shunt transient energy to ground at the source. Required for proper decoupling.

see the common emitter with resistance in the emitter, the gain become maximum.
Bypass capacitor provides effective short to ac signal around the emitter reistance thus keeping the emitter at ac ground
 

emitter resistance in the comman emitter configuration tends to reduce the current gain hence capacitor is used to bypass it
while coupling capacitor is used to not to allow any dc voltage to the out put
