Difference between the Block and Distributed RAMs.

Hi, members,
I want to know the difference between the Block and Distributed RAMs in the FPGA device, such as the Virtex-5 family devices. Thanks in advance.
 

block ram is region inside the silicon what is just a RAM module,

distribute it is using LUT to create memory module
