Difference between different impedance matching circuits

Hello,
Clearly, there are differences between impedance matching circuits which are designed for a specific input-output impedance. Is it possible to compare their performance using hierarchy of impedance matching circuit design in Smith chart? I am just speaking about discrete circuit.
