RF IC = PLL, Mixer, PA, LNA, OSC, .. RF signaling blocks
while
Analog IC means : Opamp , OTA, BandGap, Switched Cap, Regualtors, Filters, A2D....and all other non-RF signaling blocks
In RF the inductive effect cannot be neglected, so u have to take inductor effects while designing the RF IC's and also inductors play an important role in RF designs.
Also the matching of the load's does also to be taken care in RF designs.
Where as in analog u dont have to worry much about the inductive effects..
The lower frequency part is analog ic and the high frequency cmos part is addressed by RFIC. RF design considerations are more stringent and as the frequency is higher even interconnect behaves like a distributed transmission line inside the IC.
