Dielectric resonator

Hi!!
i am new in hfsss. I simulated the resonator and i became good results about the resonance frequencies. i want to know if the resonator radiate power and if yes how much? the frequencies are between 2 and 3 GHz.

i wish you coukd help me.

thanx

Of course the dielectric resonator will radiate power, although it has relatively small dissipation factor. That is why normally a metal cell (shield) is needed to settle the resonator inside.

Hope it helps.

THanx for the answer. I meant how could i simulate the radiated Power(in far field) with Hfss for the frequencies between 2 and 3 GHZ?

Sounds like Physics issue... which I am not really good at.

Power means electormagnetic field, space integral of (E*H). Ansoft (maxwell or hfss) can simulate the field inside any body. So I believe if you set a large vacum box outside your structure, you may see the field inside the box (outside your resonator).

Hope it helps.
