I'd like to find out exactly how the LCR bridge works. I have a very precise resistance decade (better than 0.01%) and my idea is measure resistors of known size 1,10, 100, 1k,10k 100k 1M, 10M 100M on 100Hz, 1kHz 10kHz and 100kHz.

The question is whether this de- termination correlates with the precision in the C L measurement and ESR?

Obviously the R precision matters, The accuracy of necessary reference C or L components is probably more critical because difficult to achieve.
