design a simple comparator using cmos?

I want a simple cmos comparator with cmos gates.
spec: single supply, VCC=2.5-3.3v
propagation delay under 10ns.
fewer gates as possible.

Any idea?

The only solution is a latch based comparator with pre-amp input stage. Most of time, you can get <10ns delay
 

how about your input amplitude? if it is large, only latch is okay for you
 

Check Allen's or Martin's Cmos design book. There is chapter about comparator
