creating a reciever capable of recieving the AM signals from WWV radio Station.

I'm not sure how to approach this but I am suppose to create a receiver capable of receiving the AM signals from the radio station WWV in fort Collins,CO on the frequencies of 10Mhz.
 

Use a long wire or dipole for an antenna at right angles to source raised above the ground.

Can you maybe explain how this circuit works or break it up into parts for me to better understand? Also what is the frequency and what part of the circuit is determining the frequency?
