hello, all

I am simulating a patch antenna array, working in 90-98 GHz, on the substrate of 0.127 mm Rogers 5880(ε=2.2). I want to feed it by CPW, however, my instructor said our testing equipment request the slot of CPW at least 100 um while the width add the slot width should be less than 400 um. however, with that size, I can not make the port impedance 50 Ohm.

while, I searched the Internet, someone had made it by a transition, but i have no idea of the transition mentioned in the paper, the paper is attached in the attachment

can any one give me some advice?

hi
is it possible to use landa/4 impedance converter?

dear refcrystalline, thank you for your reply!

should i add impedance converter in the port side? however, on my understanding, the port impedance only affected by the width of the CPW.

could you please describe it in detail ?

hope to discuss with you further more
