Hi all I am looking for a turorial for conduction corner analysis in cadence. I use tsmc 0.25 process. Design kit have been installed. It seems I have to write some script to do corner analysis, is it true?
I don't think you need to 'write' a script to run the corners analysis. All parameters can be set in the window. First of all, you have to choose a process, then set some parameters, such as temp... The help may be the best instruction. To save settings as a script just makes your latter work easier.
It's nothing about which corner simulation is best and precise. Lice micel99 said, there are several sceniro for corner simulation, they are: typical, ff, ss, fs and sf. Usually, we simulate the circuit with typical. However, considering the process variation during fabrication, you'd better run all of them befroe you submit your design.
I could remember in cadence's own help, there is a tutorial to write a script called OCEANS or something like this to run the corner simulation. you can find it in CAdence help document or find in the cadence tutorial path manually.
I remind you that corners include temperature range (see your spec.), voltage (usually +/-10% + IR drop), ss=Nslow-Pslow, ff=Nfast-Pfast, fs and sf. And all combinations ...
