What is controllability and observability with reference to verification?
Can anyone please elaborate.

controllability means that internal node can be set through primary input,
observability means that internal internal nodes' state can be observed through
primary outputs by some means such as scan method.

controllability: u can controll the internal part through stimulus.
observability: u can monitor the internal part variation through output interface

controllability means an internal node can be set through primary input - this is related to the input pins of the flop
observability means an internal node can be observed through primary outputs by scan chain or other methods - it is related to the output pins of the flop.
