I did several vibration tests on a electrical machine before using PCB accelerometer and Agilent 35670A. (read here: ) However, the results are not consistent. I really wish to find out the reasons of the inconsistency. Is my measurement approach is wrong? Or, something wrong with the mechanical setup?

To help me troubleshooting my problem, I wish to have a vibration source, which will give constant output (e.g. consistent vibration peak magnitude and frequency). Is it possible to create a simple one in laboratory?

Thanks
