dsp connect fpga

How can i connect an Spartan-3A FPGA with a 6414C DSP ???

if you want to make it bidirectional for I/O... with a FET... i don't remember ... but is well documented on I2C Phillips standard: connect FPGA lines to source, DSP lines to drain and the lower voltaje to the gate, don't trust me at all, verify first.

actually i was thinking of connecting them using ethernet.. but it's said the the FPGA has only ethernet PHY but i dunno why would they do PHY without the support of the MAC layer !!!

LOL!
are the DSP board and FPGA board separate boards? Why you want to connect them with ethernet ? it is funny.

you can use DSP's McBSP as you know and develop the suitable module on FPGA side

you can use Host Port Interface also

there are other means like I2C ( don't knoe if the DSP has I2C port )

and even the FPGA can be a part of DSP's address map.

still want to use ethernet?

I didn't know i was that funny :!:
Anyway thanks for ur answer
