Hello friend I'm going to post block diagram, for one my dream, can help me to find out matching circuit and software for it.

Thanks

Your Decoder Output unit takes input from Encoder Switch Unit and Computer Switch Unit and controls (Load) Output Relay unit. Right? Computer Switch Unit also sends encoded data to Decoder unit. Right?

So what does a decoder output unit and encoder switch unit do ??

yes i want to build one controller unit which can control pc and also from switch, but if i switch on/off the status must show in computer...

Im going to post another pic and some description,

All light controller means decoder ckt which is connect with all light, and bell control means bell, PIR control means it work for motion if no one is in room light will turn of with set time it may 10 min or any, PIR sensor mean which send PIR data to PIR control, IR sensor mean if some one came in room light will turn on. Digital Thermostat mean Ac controller encoder , Light touch switch mean all light controller through reset switch where our encoder is CKT is used for it. Bell switch mean bell switch which send bell ring data, PC controller software means that software which install in pc, through that software we can control AC and light, Digital Thermostat control mean AC controller decoder.

With this simple project you can control your PC using IR remote control.
In software you set which command will execute on what RC command, and other things.

Outputs from PC to control other devices you can make separately from this. You can make one of many USB Relay boards.

If you are going to control several devices spread out all over the house, then a serial RS 232 communication may be unsuitable. RS 232 is good only for short lengths, for longer distances you can use either RS485 (my choice), Wireless (Expensive), or ethernet (expensive).

Of course RS 485 is the simplest of all, it uses 3 wires and a communication format can easily be designed.

yaa im also telking abt 3 wire communication coz i want to control my all home application but i want run only 3 wire in whole house for switches and want to use one server is this possible i can design ckt with out MCU but little confusion with pc communication so plz help me
thanks

you need to have a RS485 transceiver for switch unit, usually there are banks of switches in one panel, say one or two switches for room lights, one for AC, and one for a power outlet. Each of these panels must be supplied with A/C power, so three lines additional lines for power, for heavier loads like ACs you probably need an additional set of three lines.

A single MCU and a RS485 transceiver is required for this panel, there are similar panels like this around the house.

It should not be difficult to design a mcu based RS485 interface. Try googling for RS485 projects these are very popular.

1-Wire bus (+5V, Gnd, Data) can be used, its simpler then RS485. Every switch on 1-Wire have address, and you can read state of switch (On, Off), this can be used to sense state of device or like alarm. Plus you can add and use on bus 1-Wire temperature sensors, ADC to measure voltage or some other sensors, digital potentiometers, counters to measure power consumption, water,....

DS2408, DS2406,.. or similar newer ICs.

Best regards,
Peter
