Hi all,

does anyone know if there's is a way to speed up a LM399 comparator as a schmitt trigger? can the slew rate be improved by adding external components(speedup condensor) ?

You will need to go for positive feedback in the schmitt .
The output transition is taken across a resistive bleeder and a fraction fed back to the input stage .
The start of transition triggers at the input and multiplies to speed up the lo to hi and vice versa
