National are the best by far here in New Zealand, and Maxim are damn good too. Intersil suck, but after directly contacting their distributor i got some. TI also good,and Infineon (if thats what they are still called) were good a few years back.

I wanted to check their new LPC21xx chips for a CPU demanding application, but I couldn't get a reasonable ammount of chips even if I was more than happy to pay for them, I didn't request them for free. Quite a strange way to introduce a new product, I must say.

I disagree. I have tried order samples from philips only one-time and they did send me totally 10 units of 210x microcontrollers
