Hi,

Does anyone here hv experiences in using the safety capacitors? Are they used for providing safety requirement on safety concern device?

Mains filter inputs have capacitors X and Y class accross the mains and from mains to earth . One class is suposed to fail open and the other closed- I hace experienced the ones to eart which should fail open going low Z and smoking

it is completely described abt x and y caps
